There is nothing on the market today that can cure a yeast infection. What can be done is a treatment could get rid of it but it is considered a treatment not a cure. A cure is for something that cannot resurface but a yeast infection could. There are people who get yeast infections a few times a year. Then there are people who never get them at all. There is always yeast present in the body; it is only when there is a high amount of yeast is when an infection occurs.
It is very important once you have an infection to try to do what you can to prevent another one. There are several ways you can do this. One way to prevent a baby yeast infection is to make sure you change the baby as soon as you know they have a dirty diaper. The longer a child sits in a wet diaper or otherwise it increases the chances for a yeast infection. Make sure the diaper area is dry before putting on the diaper. Try talcum powder, it is good at absorbing wetness.
In women it is a good idea if you are breast feeding if you wear a cotton bra, keep the breast pump clean and the plastic fresh. The plastic from the pump to the nipple can get moisture trapped inside and that is where yeast grows in moist dark places. For other women who are not breast feeding, wear cotton panties and wear loose clothing. Try to stay away from jeans and pantyhose where these two fabrics can contain moisture.
For men, the same applies except for the pantyhose. Try wearing loose clothes and wear boxers instead of briefs. This goes for both men and women, when you have been swimming remove the wet clothes as soon as you get a chance and make sure that you dry off completely. You can also use talc powder to help dry yourself off. If you can dry to air dry or you can use a hair dryer to help dry off faster.
These are the most important things to cure a yeast infection. Wear loose clothes and stay cool and dry as much as you can. If you have a yeast infection or signs of one, please contact your doctor as soon as possible. The quicker you get treatment the faster you will get better.
